Inverter welder 160A IGBT MIG/MAG, DEDRA DESMI171M, with TIG, MMA function
The DESMI171M inverter welder is a versatile device that is suitable for various industries and many types of work.
It offers different welding methods, making it an ideal solution both for professional workshops and fieldwork. Thanks to its versatility, it can be used for welding fences, steel structures, machines, pipes, metal elements, as well as for precise repairs in the automotive or construction industries.
The DESMI171M inverter welder is designed for welding:
- arc welding, using the MIG/MAG method in a shielding gas environment
- using the MMA method with a coated electrode up to 3.2 mm in diameter
- using the TIG method with a non-consumable electrode ranging from 1.6 to 3.2 mm in diameter
This welder model uses IGBT technology, which is the foundation of modern inverter devices. Inverter welders use electronic circuits to generate the correct current values, ensuring high precision and welding stability. Thanks to this technology, the device is lightweight, compact, and energy-efficient.
The welder is equipped with several functions that enhance its performance and work comfort:
- HOT START function – increases current flow at the beginning of welding, accelerating electrode heating and making it easier to start, especially on thicker materials. This helps shape the weld better, and in case the arc goes out, the current rises again, making it easier to continue welding.
- ANTI STICK system – prevents the electrode from sticking to the welded material by automatically cutting off or reducing the welding current and voltage to a minimum level.
- ARC FORCE system – allows control of arc dynamics and ensures its stability, minimizing the risk of short circuits and reducing spatter. This makes welding more precise and spatter removal easier.
Additionally, the welder features an LCD display, allowing the user to have full control over work parameters in real-time, improving comfort and precision during welding.
Note: The maximum spool weight suitable for the DESMI171M is 5 kg, and its diameter is 20 cm.
Features of the IGBT DESMI171M inverter welder:
- HOT START – a system that increases current flow when igniting the arc, making it easier to heat the electrode quickly and ensuring a stable start to the process.
- ANTI STICK – prevents the electrode from sticking to the welded material.
- ARC FORCE – controls arc dynamics and ensures stability, reducing the risk of short circuits and the amount of spatter.
- Three welding methods (MIG/MAG, MMA, TIG) – allow flexibility in choosing the technique based on needs and material.
- IGBT technology – a modern technology that ensures device efficiency and reliability.
- LCD display – allows easy control of welder settings.
- Welding current adjustment – enables power customization depending on the material and welding type.
- Compact size and low weight – facilitate transport and storage of the welder.
- Carrying handle – allows for convenient transportation of the welder.
