Using filters prevents dirt or contaminants from entering the spray system. They minimize the possibility of nozzle clogging and optimize the quality of the work to be done. The filter size is determined by its mesh number. The denser the mesh (the higher the value), the more filtered the material will be. Lower values are used for thick paints, while higher filter values, expressed in the number of holes per inch, are used for thin paints.
